Cincinnati Fire Station

Did you know Cincinnati has the oldest fire department in the country? And they're literally around the corner from the oldest private mint (Osborne Coinage) in the country? We created these amazing coins to celebrate and commemorate the Mohawk Fire Company, established in 1851. The front of the coin shows the firefighter's hat, axe, pole, ladder, and the established date, while the back has the familiar firefighter's shield on top of a city street map. Because they chose antique brass, all the incredible detail is highlighted in a rich patina.
